Épicerie Coop Grocery is a municipal cooperative located in Moonbeam, Ontario, that provides local grocery services to residents and surrounding communities. It offers a full range of food products: fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and deli items prepared in-house, dairy products from local sources, frozen goods, canned goods, breads and desserts, condiments, beverages, as well as non-food items like cleaning supplies and accessories. The grocery places special emphasis on regional products by stocking local items (such as artisanal cheeses, vegetables from local farmers, etc.). This cooperative is governed by a volunteer board made up of community members, giving it a participatory structure, and it was established after the community mobilized to save the local grocery when the previous owner threatened to close it.
