A Message to Our Members
We continue to find ourselves navigating uncertainty in Canada’s trade relationship with the United States. Over the past year, many of our members and businesses across the Northern Corridor have had to adapt to changing trade conditions, making it increasingly difficult to plan, invest, and make long-term business decisions.
Recent developments in trade negotiations and the introduction of new 50% tariffs are raising further concerns for Canadian businesses that export, import, or are part of North American supply chains.
The Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce is working closely with our colleagues at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce to ensure that the concerns and priorities of our business community are heard as governments respond.
We want to hear directly from businesses that may be affected. In particular, we are looking for concrete examples of how the new 50% tariffs could impact Canadian businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.
